Phew, I don't know about y'all but I am so glad that Friday is almost here! Between the end of the school year and various testing at the school, Matt's travels, etc, this week has been bananas- at least in our house :) And, I am more than ready for a weekend with the ones I love the most!
Today's guest is super near and dear to my heart. Heather and I have been friends now for almost 10 years- and no, we didn't meet in high school or college... We are just that old- ha! Given that neither of us has a sister, we consistently refer to one another as our sister given all the life we've lived together. We've walked through each having our first daughters, to having our second daughters, to numerous Bible studies, to job changes, to moves, to divorce, to complete surrender to the Lord, to remarriage and more- what a journey it's been and continues to be... and, what joy to have Heather alongside me on it!
I am certain she will encourage you all! And, if you're curious what we'd say our 3 Tips to a Fun Filled Lasting Friendships are, check out our FB Live video here.

I am a single mom of two girls, 6 and 9. Outside of that, I am a teacher. I am so thrilled that I will be teaching Kindergarten next year at Whitefield Academy.

Well.. I love to read! Definitely more of a binge reader than binge watcher. I usually have a few books going at a time. I just finished Long Way Gone, a novel by my favorite fiction writer Charles Martin. He can share the gospel so well through his fiction. I am currently loving Are My Kids on Track. This is such a powerful read about Social and Emotional Milestones for our kiddos. Great read, as a parent and as a teacher.
Surviving Sarah is so real and so encouraging. Love it! And love the Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey also.

Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you.
Deuteronomy 28:12 God will throw open the doors of his sky vault and pour rain on your land on schedule and bless the work you take in hand.
Luke 18:1 Pray always and do not become discouraged

Depending on the day and time: coffee (well anytime for coffee) but I also love La Croix and Margaritas

Three and a half years ago I went through a divorce.
Share some of the choices that have been most helpful in continuing to move you forward and supporting you while you are healing:
Surround myself with people that care and love me and my girls! Do things to take care of me, especially when the girls are with their dad~time with friends, exercising, mani/pedi, scheduling time for counseling or coaching, or as simple as going for a walk. If I plan something for myself to fill that time they are away, it keeps me from focusing on the loneliness that can set in.
Share some ways you have tried to incorporate laughter and fun in the midst of the hurt:
Being with friends!
Share any tips/advice/love for others who have gone through something similar:
Be intentional with your time. Opening up and getting vulnerable with someone is so healing.
